Profile of Artist

A self-taught, disabled artist who creates using a variety of media but specializes in intarsia, the making of decorative and pictorial mosaics by laying precious and exotic wood into or onto a groundwork of solid wood. He currently suffers from 6 major diseases Lupus ,Emphysema Degenerative bone and disc disease ,both arthritis’s, growths in both lungs and various other places and narrowing of the neurological passages and compound fracturing of the spine. As a result of these afflictions, he is in constant pain controlled  (sorta) through morphine and has a 3 hour cycle (1 standing, 1 sitting, one laying down) and his art is his pain management that helps to focus on something other than his pain.    Created a variety of large, original gallery pieces depicting realistic animals.  Known internationally for his reproduction of intricate ancient Celtic crosses and knot work. Currently the only artist in Canada and the world that we have been able to find through years of research that practices this artform since the sixth century. Has had his web site used by numerous schools to educate about things Celtic and to showcase his art. And his PowerPoint presentation of his art displays Celtic Myths and Legends handed down through centuries by naming the various pieces after them and set to modern music.
